:
This paper deals with intrinsic H2 control performance limitations achievable by feedback. We first provide analytical closed-form expressions of the optomal tracking and regulation performances for single-input multiple-output (SIMO) linear time-invariant (LTI) discrete-time systems. We the refomulate the problems by implementing delta operator and derive the performance limits in the delta domain. It is shown that we can completely recover the existing continuous-time expressions by approaching the sampling time to zero. Finally, we apply the result to a tracking problem for inverted pendulum systems to confirm the effectiveness of the derived closed-form expressions.
